Guy is raw but he put up some nice games in the D-league against borderline NBA talent. Any guy that puts up a game of 15, 16 & 14 had some potential.

I liked Ezeli with this pick but if Melo really works on his conditioning and foot work I think his upside is good on defense and he has more longer term "potential"than Ezeli.

I wouldn't give up on him yet - I would take a long hard look at this year and I would force feed him some minutes so he can get his feet we.

A) Major focus on defensive rotations and pick and roll defense. He has very good lateral quickness for a big man and that can translate.

B) Let Rondo work with him and move him around the court on offense.

The guy is big so he should have some pick and roll ability as well.

It does strengthen their hold on that 8th seed.

PG - Jennings, Ish Smith
SG - OJ Mayo
SF - Mbah a Moute
PF - Ilyasova, J.Henson
C  - L.Sanders, Udoh

Still need to work on that depth though. Need some quality perimeter reserves.
That team is better than Boston, so that moves them up to 7.  And who knows what the Hawks will look like, so that might get them to 6.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I think Cleveland is probably better than that lineup with everyone healthy. Washington is absolutely better than that lineup with everyone healthy. I also think Detroit improves and makes the playoffs (assuming they bring in a free agent that can help.

While I'm at it: current power rankings
1. Miami
2. Chicago (assuming a healthy Rose)
3. Brooklyn
4. Indiana
5. New York
6. Washington
7. Cleveland
8. Milwaukee (if they bring back Jennings)/Detroit (if they sign a free agent or if Jennings doesn't go to Milwaukee)
10. Toronto
11. Boston
12. Atlanta
13. Orlando
14. Philly
15. Charlotte

To me the 6-11 spots are fluid. If everything breaks towards winning as best it possibly can I can see us in the 6 spot. If things go as expected we could end up at 11 or 12.
