along with salary cap room is very attractive.
We won't get salary cap room for Pierce if he is traded to Cleveland.

We would recieve a traded player exception for his salary, which is much more limited than salary cap space.

If we wanted to land a free agent with such a trade exception we'd have to still compensate their original team for example.

C's looking to go big.  WOW, there's a freaking surprise.  They look to go big every year because they can't find one.  Last year they went double big, and are still looking.  It's crazy, maybe the new coach develops a young guy like Melo and the C's can actually draft a scorer.

It's been our biggest need through the whole big three era.  Why is it surprising?  Also, we just found a big (Sully) and Melo is not dead like so many say.  He had the same numbers Steamer had in the D League when he won DPOY in his first year.

We can also draft a big AND scorer.

Who knows what happens but going big isn't a problem, especially if KG might retire or be traded.  It's a definite need.

Big? Definitely.

Shooting guard? Meh. Terry is definitely not in our long-term plans but we still have Bradley and Lee. Besides, all the high-potential SGs will likely be gone by the time we pick.

Hopefully it's Dieng. Withey would be a reach at #16 but I'd be fine with him, too. I'm not a fan of Olynyk though.

I will have to look for the article but I believe it was hoopsworld that reporting Diengs knees have been red flagged by some teams. This could lead to him be a 2nd round pick.

It's been the biggest need due to draft failure.  JR Giddens over Jordan and Asik, Johnson ahead of anyone :-), etc.  If they think, Melo and Suli can play, then let them and draft other need.  If not, so be it draft big.  BTW, if they do go big, I'm OK with Deing or Plumlee.

To be perfectly fair, Jordan and Asik were in the second round. Every team passed up on them, not JUST Danny. Hindsight is 20/20.
