cp3 protestations could not even fetch a pick for Doc. We are lucky the NBA came to the rescue and gifted us a pick

Doc Rivers = most overrated coach in the history of the NBA.

So in one thread you claim that the pick came directly from the scheming hands of Chris Paul.   Now in another thread you claim that the NBA sent it to us on a platter.  Wow, please elaborate, I am excited to hear a lot more of your theories!

bottom line is Clippers did not offer that pick for Doc willingly. They were pretty much bulldozed into it by CP and the NBA. Please don't act like you have not followed the saga.

Actually it was in the SAME thread:

the Celtics got a first for CP3.

cp3 protestations could not even fetch a pick for Doc.

That is quite an exercise in self-contradiction, I agree.

I am not acting like I am not following the news.  That doesn't have anything to do with your comments.

I am just pointing out that you are trying to paint two different stories.  One of them, that the NBA gifted us the pick is so crazy that I think you just threw that one out there for shock value and Doc hate.

With Paul's health and Kevin's age they could stink it up in a hurry.

We'll see, would love for you to be right and the pick to turn out to be valuable.

Something I haven't heard yet, is this full rights or is it somehow protected?

Clippers, Celtics are agreeing upon a 2015 unprotected first-round pick, league source tells Y! Rivers, Clippers still finalizing contract.

I certainly hope this is true.

The last first round pick the Clips traded ended up being pretty good for the receiving team.
