Maybe they can throw in a crappy first rounder. But if we put it in blow up mode. Kevin and Tim would be great to see. And I'd love to send KG to that team ad watch him play for one more ring.

Salaries don't come close enough for this to go through.  Need around $2M more in salary coming from SA to make it work.

Isn't Splitter a free agent? If so that would make a sign and trade necessary and then the trade could work because you can make Splitter's salary high enough for the math to work.

Doubt SA does it for a year of KG though. Green and Splitter are too young and valuable to that team for one year of KG.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Tim Duncan utterly hates KG.

Tim Duncan utterly hates KG.

Does he hate him more than he loves (possible) back to back trips to the finals?

While as the C's I would never pull the trigger on this one, and would rather see KG retire than be traded, those are two big men whose games would compliment each others games PERFECTLY. Even at their advanced ages, they would make some serious noise in the playoffs, given proper health.

I mean, yeah, kinda...

If they were forced to play together, then I suppose it could work, but that isn't the case. Duncan says no to the deal, which means Spurs say no to the deal.

I'm sure if you ask Duncan who he'd rather play with, he'd pick Splitter and Green.

Players need to draw a line - they're people first. I love KG and all of his intensity, but if the "Mother's Day" rumors are true, I don't see Duncan opting to play with KG over another decent alternative.

Don't see why SA (a finals team) would give up two solid young players for a 37 year old

It's been previously reported...  Duncan has no respect for the KG's trash-talking, physically pestering, psychological mind games approach to the game.  Google "duncan garnett" and you'll probably find it pretty quickly.  OK, I just did and you will.
