I'd think not even close. Green can be an All-Star, Bradley can be DPOY, and Sully can be a 10-10 guy but these are all hypotheticals; they've gotta do something first.

Yeah, figured. I thought MAYBE we could pry Love because I've heard he's unhappy in Minny, but Flip will probably just try to add talent to make him happy.

The way the NBA works, Love will go to the Lakers before his contract is up.

Yeah I can see it now:

Lakers receive Love
Minny receives a 2078 first round draft pick, the corpse of Steve Nash, Jordan Hill, a Magic Johnson retro jersey and Andrew Bynum.

Wait Bynum's not with the Lakers anymore??? Ah, that's alright. Let Stern figure something out.

No it is not.

We're talking about two all star talents for a Starter quality SF, a limited, undersized 2 guard and a prospect. It's not going to happen.
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

i'm not sure what portion of this is sarcastic and what part is real
however, i'm not fond in giving up 3 FUTURE guys to help 2 OLDER guys (who we dont even know are returning and don't know how long they'll stay) get a ring...is that correct?

but i guess its all about win right now!

I was being sincere with my original post. And yes, it would definitely be a win now move.

It would be a win either way...for the present and future.

yup....that's the way it works,  lakers start with the very best player...Lebron.....if they can't land him....they work their way down from there....picking and choosing the team they desire .

all the time dumping worn out ex stars and head cases for the current superstars to make up their team........this just seems to be the way the NBA is set up...to cater to the Laker fan base.

maybe that package can get us Lebron
Maybe a 3-way trade that can get us LeBron and Durant.

and Greg Popovich too.

Can we get Silver somehow? I'd give up a 2078 second rounder...

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

Sorry, I heard that the Heat are the frontrunners for getting Silver right now.  :(

Teams don't trade their stars because they're possibly walking in 2 years time.

They spend two years trying to acquire pieces to help said star win so they'll stay. When that fails, they trade them at the deadline in their final year. Because they're both small market teams, they trade them to the Lakers for whoever is injured, second round draft picks and a washing machine.

In short, no, we are not going to get a franchise PF / C with Green, Bradley, and Sullinger.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I'm not so sure that I'd do those trades myself...

Green, Bradley and Sullinger are the brightest young talents we have, and we are arguably on the verge (next year or two) off a rebuild.

Aldridge is a very good player, but does he give us 35 points, 15 rebounds and elite all-defensive player who can play and guard three positions?  Because that's what those the guys combined potentially give us next year.

As for love im really not interested.  Guy is ridiculously overrated.
