I know people look at the end result and say it didn't make a difference but it clearly affectedthe game. There was no rhythm. How many minutes did our starters get to play together?

I don't know if anyone already answered this, but the starters only played 7.1 minutes together.

Doc DID make comments about the calls on KG - but he danced very carefully around it to avoid getting fined.  He was clearly p---ed off, though.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

You only flop this hard when you know that your going to get calls.

Tommy point.

Anybody who watches that video and tries to claim that the NYK players were not blatantly flopping to get calls is lying.

From when the NBA announced their 'get tough' stance on flopping:

http://www.nba.com/2012/news/10/03/nba-sets-flopping-penalties.ap/index.html

Quote
The NBA said flopping will be defined as "any physical act that appears to have been intended to cause the referees to call a foul on another player."
"The primary factor in determining whether a player committed a flop is whether his physical reaction to contact with another player is inconsistent with what would reasonably be expected given the force or direction of the contact," the league said.
Commissioner David Stern has long sought to end flopping, believing it tricks the referees. But the league determined it would be too difficult for refs to make the call on the floor, preferring instead to leave it to league office reviews.

The fact that it is to be enforced AFTER the game, takes the onus off the referees for being stooges during the game.   Nevertheless it is pretty clear the Knicks don't give a crap about the fines and just did this as a matter of strategy in order to gain any advantage they could.

Credit to their coaches for doing anything to win.  But let's hope Stern owns up to his words and levies the fines.

ny basically mugged our players once we got on offense. it made it hard to get anything started until there were < 10 seconds left on the shot clock. yes, the offense was bad...but that is partly b/c it was extremely hard to even set our offense. i like physical playoff basketball...but it needs to be relatively even, and within reason. what the knicks were allowed to do was totally fine...for the 1994 knicks.

I wish, that was when basketball was for men.

Ditto.

You can actually see the realization in JR Smith's face, "oh no, the ball has gone further than an arm length's distance from me, time to put up my hands and fall."
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
