I'm not at all interested in jumping into the tiresome daily defenses of Rondo that pop up like toadstools in a wet yard on this board.
Statistics, including the useless sabremetrics that so many wrongly insist are a thorough measure of the game, can say whatever the user wants them to say.
The eyes don't lie, and I thoroughly disagree with your conclusions and stand by my own. The tempo of this offense is markedly faster without him, as is the quality of half-court defense. Calling this offense at a similar pace is hyperbolic and is simply refuted by the eyes; there is little or no similarity.
We are just going to have to agree to totally disagree.
On 82games they keep track of what percentages of a team's shots are taken at what point in the shot clock. Those numbers, as of a week or two ago, haven't budged since Rondo went out. We're also having more shot clock violations since he was injured. Clearly your eyes see what you want them to, not what's actually happening on the court.
