Thoughts on where Marquis lands?

I'd love to see him back to warm the bench with Dooling.  Both guys who are happy to be bench warmers, yet always ready to work when their number is called.

No thank you. I'm sorry to everyone who loves the guy but he absolutely has no place on a contending team. Maybe he can get a job up in Maine with the Red Claws.

I really like Quisy, what he's done for us, and most of all his versatility on the court.  If he only had shooting range!  There aren't many players with his skills.  He's a great player to have on the bench.

Looks like we're running out of room, though.

Wish he had another season in him, but perhaps he'll be hanging in Sheed's hookah room this year.

I'd be surprised to see him on an NBA roster to start the season.  He might have a chance to catch on later in the year, as guys go down, and teams look for veterans who can step in...but even that seems a bit doubtful.  He just looked cooked last year, and with the neck stuff, I think he might be better off hanging it up.

But, if I had to guess, I think he will be in the NBDL this year, hoping for a call up.

I think Europe.  Or retired/getting into coaching, etc.  But he's had a lot of injuries over the years, and didn't play well.  I can't see an NBA team bringing him on for anything more than a partially guaranteed contract that offers little if he doesn't make the team out of camp, and barring a lot of injuries in that camp, I don't see him making the team.

If we're making a push this year, I think I'd rather have Quisy this year as 15th man and keep Joseph's rights (as a 2nd rounder) and send HIM to Europe to develop a bit before bringing him in NEXT year, when he's more likely to contribute.

That's not really how it works.  While technically, teams could play hardball about it, they rarely do, because agents are so powerful.  If an agent feels that a player would be able to catch on with another team, and the player doesn't want to go to Europe for a year, then generally they will force the issue, and get the player an invite to camp.  Generally speaking, GMs won't risk ticking off a powerful agent, just to be able to stash a mid to late second round pick for a year or two.
