  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.

I was making a joke about how impossible it would be to sign Dwight Howard right now. Aside from being under contract for the next season, he's said Boston isn't even on his list (and it sounds like his list is composed of entirely Brooklyn).

That said, the reason why the C's don't have cap space is because they resigned Kevin Garnett

The reality is different. Do not sign Garnett more than 8 mill/season. And...do not sign Green, Wilcox, Bass

I don't know what you mean here, the language is wrong.

Are you saying its a different reality where we somehow didn't resign any of our guys and got Howard?

I dunno, seems like a bit of a weird hypothetical.

No sir. As you mentioned before cup space issue, that itself, is a smart way of spending money. KG is a veteran, do not sign for 3 years, and do not sign for more than 8 mill/season. Do not sign Green for 36 millio@ 4 seasons. If you share money in smart way, of course there is a space for DH12 or any other star.

You're ignoring the fact that Dwight Howard is not a free agent. You can't just 'sign' him right now, you've got to trade for him, and we've got no assets.

Are you saying if we played out teh 2012 season as is and didn't sign KG, Terry or Bass to longterm deals, and then if we signed Dwight Howard next season, would we be contenders? Because if thats what you're saying, my answer is no.

Wilcox is a min player, not signing him won't matter. And if Danny could have had KG for $3M less a year he probably would have. So you'd have to change that from "sign KG for less" to "don't sign KG".

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Just a hunch.

Bad grammar the first few questions. And then on a much longer explanation, the grammar was spot on.

I mean no disrespect, and I apologize if I'm wrong, but I sense a troll...

But just to answer your question. Even if he's a free agent, NO you can't sign Howard, because he does not want to sign with Boston.

sounds like a dumb question anyway....He's basically asking if we were to sign (the best center in the league) would we win a title lol.

That screams (close thread)

I agree with you man.

My next thread topic:
If we reincarnated Michael Jordan and signed him with the MLE would we win an NBA title.

k, I think locking the thread is a good idea. Seems to be slipping into personal right quick.
