Frankly it left me scratching my head. There is no way that Jeremy Lamb will be there at 21 or 22. If we pick Fab Melo I will puke. He has bust stamped on his forehead and has had "OVR8TD" custom plates made for his new ride.

Is it just me? Can someone see the reasoning behind his picks?

Lots of people said the same things about Roy Hibbert.

It is a post about our "needs."  Don't worry, Danny will take the best player available.

Hibbert was a senior, his game was far more developed on both ends of the floor. Melo can not put the ball in the basket to save his life. He may be a better athlete than Hibbert but that does not matter as much at the 5 position. I frankly do not see the need in getting another version of Perkins. That style of play is being phased out in today's NBA.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.

Id pick him at 21. While he's not an offensive threat, nor I think will learn how to be, that athleticism and big frame has potential to be a great interior defender. While there are not a lot of two way centers (offense and defense), having an imposing 7 ft body in the middle can be a difference maker.

He does have a lot to learn but not everyday you can find a 7 ft guy on pick 21 who can jump out of the building and, with some coaching and proper development, could be a defensive beast.

Actually i like that about Melo, shows he has a good sense of humor. I'd still rather gamble on Festus Ezelli and Meyers Leonard, but it does make me like Melo more.

It can almost be garanteed that Ainge will be making a trade and I really hope its to trade up because he and all of us know that he needs to start looking for young guys with lots of potential.  If he does keep his picks tho... a dude who is huge and fits the potential bill is definitely myers leonard.  real athletic and great passer for a big and is not a liability on offense at all.
