If you're Orlando and you're committed to trading Dwight Howard, it's almost better to get a little less back to ensure he goes out West and you only see him once a year.

Don't think there is much meat here.

Huh? If you're Orlando and committed to trading Dwight then you take the best package available regardless of which conference it puts him in. Last time I checked Dwight Howard doesn't pose a threat to a retired Rasheed Wallace, is amongst the worst free-throw shooters in the league, has not improved his offensive game in many years, does not take the game seriously, etc...

any time you see a trade rumor this late in the season while one of the teams is still attempting to win a title... you can 100% consider it garbage.

The last things you know about Dwight Howard (beyond his FT%) are mostly inaccurate.

If I'm Miami and Howard's back is deemed fine, I'd do that trade in a heart beat - wouldn't hesitate.

Howard and LeBron? Add water...

Howard
Haslem
James
James Jones
Goran Dragic - I'd try to sign him in free agency

A bunch of other players would be lining up to play on that team, you'd fill in the gaps in an off season...

If I'm Orlando, I'd rather have a Bosh / Wade combination than Andrew "I'm a complete head case and I'm made of glass" Bynum.

I'd also rather have a Brook Lopez, Humphries, Brooks plus draft picks deal than Bynum.

And NJ should do that deal as well because they could fill in the Gaps around Deron and Dwight in an off season as well...

Agreed re the Nets but what on earth could the Lakers possibly offer for Howard?

I know the standard reply to that question is "Bynum, stupid". Personally I think that would be one of the worst trades in NBA history because anyone who thinks they can build a team around and injury prone 2 year old whose a lazy head case with little on court character or pride is in for a rude awakening.

I'd rather take Tyson Chandler, Landry Fields, Iman Shumpert and a couple picks - I'll buy some other superstars with merit before sinking my ship with Bynum.

Sign and trade Anderson?

JJ Redick and Big Baby?

There is roughly a difference of 15 million between the salaries next year of Wade and Bosh vs. Howard.

It might take Bosh with Wade because of Wade's injury issue and that Howard is still the 2nd best player in the NBA.

Howard just had back surgery. His injury concerns are just as bad as Wades now. Hedo, Howard, and a first for Wade and Bosh? I don't like it for Miami. Plus Kevin Durant is better then Dwight Howard now.

This is not Wade's first injury.

This is Howard's first injury.

And Howard is still a better player then Durrant

Wha...? How?
