Comparing losing DRose to losing Zaza? It's too bad he clearly has no idea what he's talking about, otherwise this would be good motivation for KG. He's just already making excuses for tonight's loss.
He's right that the Hawks deserve some credit for playing with an injured Josh Smith and a just-returning Al Horford. However, they're playing against a team with a bigger star than Smith hurt worse than Smith (Pierce's knee looked much worse than Smith's has), a top offensive threat dealing with painful bone spurs that are causing him to actually miss FTs, a star PG whose back still requires treatment, a defensive whiz who has shoulder problems, and a key reserve who has hamstring issues. Yeah, his team isn't 100%. However, they are in better shape than their opponent. So...there's that...
