A one-color logo, that's epic.
As a Designer you've got to love what they've done with it. You could put this logo on a cappuccino with some powdered chocolate. You could make a stamp. You can change the colors without losing its power.
Also, it looks quite retro, and just as easily could've been the logo for an early 20th century high-priced aviator-inspired clothing brand.
I dig it. The fact that they went with black and white makes it even better. Can't wait to see the jerseys.
As for that other logo that's been posted: it looks alright, but as a logo, I think the other one is stronger. The colors, highlights, shading and 3-dimensional effects make it look pretty, but do not necessarily make a good logo.
