If there is one trade that would help Boston NOW ,especially without Wilcox ....I would be all over trying to bring Josh Smith to Boston...even if I had to let Ray , JJJ, draft pick go.   I wouldn't give up KG  (this year) , do that might as well tank.

Josh is a great fit for this club coached by Doc and KG and pushed up and down the court by Rondo.

DA has probably played too cool and too hard to get this time. With the Ray for Hans+pick offer that Bird told everyone, teams are thinking the price for any (Big 4) Celtic is too high.

Yes, if he agrees to an extension.

Howard still wants to play with Williams.  If the Celtics can lock him up this season while keeping contract flexibility going into the 2013/2014 season, they could be the favorites to sign Howard if he decides to leave.

This has to be exactly what Ainge needs to consider. Plan A was to get CP3 and lure Dwight to Boston. A Plan B to get Howard has now opened up.

Not really. Why would Deron Williams want to sign an extension in Boston and not in Brooklyn? And why would the Nets do it, if they still want Dwight Howard?

Better management.

Chance to be in the playoffs this year.

The ability to add win now talent in the offseason while still being able to have room for Howard the next season.
