I have no idea what the powers that be see in Donny Marshall. He brings no gravitas as a former player, since he was an uber-scrub, and has no connection to the Celtics. I find him incredibly annoying, especially when he delves into his storied history as an NBA player to make a point.

I'd rather have anyone with a Celtics background instead of Marshall. Bimbo Coles.  Mikki Moore. Steph.  I'd rather have Donnie Wahlberg.  Seriously.

Tommy may come across as a terribly biased homer announcer, but that is his job.  He is No Buffoon. In reality he  has incredible knowledge of the game of basketball, was there in the early days, and has had great success at all stages of his basketball career. If you overlook his calling out the refs (and sometimes he is right to call them out) he tells it how it is, doesn't let garbage or clueless media pundits make foolishness (like the sunglasses) become the story, and drops genuine pearls of knowledge along the way.  (Bye-the-way, I miss Johnny Most and Bob Cousy, too!)  ;)
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift...
That is why it is called the present.
