The nets traded Kidd for

2 first round picks, Devin Harris [a good young point guard], and a strong defensive center [diop]

And lets' remember this is a 34 year old Kidd

Diop is horrible. Please.

So i guess that fact that not one GM in the nba agrees with your premise proves what?

That Rondo is invaluable and no GM in the league is smart enough to realize his worth or that most everyone on this board who thinks we are building a title contending team with Rondo as one of the 2 best players in the future is grossly overrating him?

considering he's been voted by coaches to the allstar team 3 times, I would think they view him as having worth.

and Rondo basically got us by Cleveland all by himself in 2010

First off coaches are not GMs and not executing trades, so your point is moot. The OP was that his value is off the charts if Kidd was traded for what he was at age 34 and that is obviously not true no matter how much people on this board want it to be.

Second the legend of Rondo's 2010 playoffs grows every day on this board. He was Gigantic against the cavs, it was him and KG that won that series for us. But he was played to a draw by jameer nelson against Orlando (accept all anyone remembers is the great diving through J will's legs to steal the ball) while PP average 26-7-5 with a true shooting percentage of well over 70% and if you want to point out cleveland you should also mention that the fact he was awful in the finals bc the lakers flat out ignored him and was the main reason Kobe had 17 rebounds in game 7 where we couldnt buy a rebound to save our lives.

What does an allstar appearance really mean? And how does it equate to value around the league. Hell Antoine had 2 appearances and what was his value around the NBA?

It's nto rondo's fault

it's the fact that teams don't have the right pieces for rondo to be effective around

he's the best player in the league for a certain type of team

Diop is the worst player on the bobcats.... and that's saying something..

I would love to hear what kind of team would value Rajon Rondo over LeBron James.
