The Clips announce team just listed their top 3 trade rumors.  Their #3 was Ellis to Orlando to "appease Dwight Howard", #2 was Rondo, but their #1 was either Ray or Pierce going to the Lakers or the Clippers.  I hadn't heard of it, but it looks like it hit the internet a few hours ago.   That article was loose on details but the announcers seemed pretty confident.  Is something going on with this?  I haven't seen a thread....

there is nothing i could see the lakers giving us that would equal a pierce return...only way i see it would be a three team deal..maybe with the rockets involving pierce, gasol, scola, martin, and maybe dalembert....dont like it for us either way.

I can see ray going to the clippers for something like bledsoe, Gomes and a first and filler.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

  • Rondo = Good
Ray to the Clippers for Foye, Gomes, and a 2013 first makes sense to me.

I don't see anything either team could offer that would be worth giving up Pierce, though.  Trading Pierce to the Lakers would just be all kinds of bad karma, anyhow.

I'd do it.... I like the idea of piling up 1st round picks...

What about Ray and J O'Neal for Gasol?  Lakers get $16 million in expiring contracts and we get a dominant big who would mesh well with our current team.  The only problem is we aren't championship caliber even with that.

Also Ray and Kobe hate each other.  So there is that, too.

1st round picks are nice but the draft next year is not going to be as deep as this year and it would probably be a late pick anyway.

Can they trade their 2013 pick if we already have their 2012 1st?
