dont forget that if he can ever come back Green runs the way JJJ does. they seem to run without actually running if that makes any sense, they make it look effortless and seem to always outrun there man well appearing to not run as hard.

We have JaJuan for that. And they can slide Wilcox to the PF spot if needed.

JJJ is a nice talent but i dont think hes allready at NBA starter level. If he becomes bigger and stronger i'd give him a shot, but for now i'm skeptic.

Our new center should be the new anchor of defense, in preparation for KGs leaving. If he is athletic and can run the floor great but it's not a necessity. Rebounding and boxing out in the paint is way more important.

So if i could choose a center i'd take Marc Gasol. Not the athletic choice but a all-round solid center.

There's not a lot of those kind of Centers in the coming FA.

I'm interested in also thinking about centers who won't be free agents in 2012.  Someone not good enough to be viewed as an untouchable member of a team's core.  Someone old enough that they are no longer viewed as a young player with upside.  Someone young enough that they have at least three years of being at least a solid starter ahead of them.

Funny thread to read...if it weren't so true... we are so hungry for a real NBA center, we are plain center starved today, we'd take alot of guys that normally we'd be laughing at. Wilcox is doing fine and if we can keep him, will a decent backup.

I'm confident , Danny will eventually trade / draft and put us back in the hunt with a decent center.

That kid Splitter is wasting his time sitting on the bench  , somebody will eventually pay him more than SPurs are stealing him for.

If we keep KG on the team in some capacity as abackup,   as a role model, I like COusins running the floor with Rondo. Other than that no telling what DA will decide.

I believe the only guy who has a job for sure next year as a Celtic is Rondo. Maybe JJ hangs as the new team project....everybody else is expendable towards a improved team.

How about College guys that will probably be available when we pick.

I like Fab Melo. He's offensively challenged, but is a good athlete and can block shots and rebound, which will trigger the break.

I like Zeller as an immediate contributor, but think Melo is more raw and has more long term potential.
