i don't think we'll be able to get much, might as well just continue on and maybe buy them out (ray and kg) or sit them and tank towards seasons end.

also paul has a buy out on his last year, if they amenisty him does wyc have to pay him his 3rd year option value($16 mill), or his buyout value($5), can u buyout a player and then amenisty them? cos i can't imagine ownership wanting to fork out 11 million dollars just to create 5 million dollars of cap room

You can't get anything for KG.  Don't even try.  He makes too much money and nobody can match expiring contracts.

For Pierce, you could probably trade him to Indiana for a 1st rounder or Paul George... maybe.  They can swallow 14 mil in cap space so they are the most logical trade destination.

For Ray, you can either trade him to Utah or Chicago for a late 1st rounder.  Chicago can trade a couple expiring contracts to match salary.  Utah has a trade exception they can trade to match salary.

None of the deals take back salary... it's all about young players on rookie contracts and/or draft picks.

I have no idea who says no first between Philly and Utah, because it will be a race to see who can decline first between them.

Why do you think another team would want to take on all three of them?  KG is set to retire in another 40 games or so.  Ray is going to be a free agent, and Paul's contract is just going to get uglier and uglier.

Those trades are bad for everyone including Boston. After the Big 3 is gone D.A. better get someone who can run with Rondo, not slow Bodies like Brand & Jefferson! And Turner best position is PG not 2 gaurd.

I don't think KG is set to retire after this season and Pierce's contract isn't so ugly when you consider that his last year is only partially guaranteed.  He'll actually have trade value before that final season for a team that wants to clear cap space or save on the luxury tax by trading salary for Pierce then waiving him.  A team right at the salary cap threshold can clear space to sign a $10 million free agent by doing so.

Utah has a big $10 million exception from Mehmet Okur so they might be the only possibility.
