Doc looks at the floor, looks back at Danny, and falls over in hysterics of laughter. He then gets back up, hands Danny his cap and then goes watch his son play College ball.
There's no way Doc wants to leave a chance at a championship to watch his kid play basketball for 6 weeks.
What's the great job he'll get if he leaves the Celts? TNT analyst? Coach of Clemson? Coach of the Wizards?
And what team would he be leaving that has a chance at a championship?! If you are referring to the Celtics then you're delirious. We are barely over a .500 team and right now on course to play the Heat in the first round of the playoffs. We barely beat the Bulls without their star out there who consistently lights up Rondo. That stat line of Rondo's doesn't happen with Rose on the floor. This team has no more chance of winning a championship than the Knicks or the Bucks or the Raptors. We are a first round exit unless we start winning a lot of games and get into a 4th or 5th seed spot.
The team got off to a terrible start and yet we're still only 3 games in the loss column behind the 3rd seed with roughly 35 games remaining. Relax. That's hardly insurmountable.
