Maybe we won't need to add the Clippers pick, maybe they have to add a 2rd pick instead!

Line-up
C  Jefferson/Wilcox/Stiemsma
PF Garnett/Bass/Johnson
SF Pierce/Pietrus/Pavlovic
SG Allen/Bell/Quis
PG Dooling/Bradley/Moore

Weaker at PG, strengthens at C and SG
Jameer an elite PG?Please, ask that to his garbage highlights.

I think Rondo impacts the game more than Al. I don't think I'd be comfortable with it unless we were bringing in another top pg some how. If Utah wanted expiring contracts, picks, and maybe a prospect or two to shed Al's salary, then I'd gladly do something  involving Ray and JO and some combo of JJ/Etwan/Bradley. I have no idea what Utah's motives are these days. I think I would keep all those bigs if I were them.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

TP for a decent trade idea.

If Utah can trade harris after as well for a shooter, this could help them a lot. I am waiting for the day Utah ships out one of their bigs.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Big Al isn't a franchise player and his contract is a killer (short term, but big money). I don't see Danny trading [by far] our most valuable piece for him, as nice as it would be to see him back in town, I don't see him being good enough to use our cap space on. Rondo is only leaving town for Howard, a top pick, or a 'star' still on his rookie contract.

Utah does this in a heartbeat. We're not getting enough back.

I love AlJeff and we can definitely use his double/double every night, but they don't need him as much as they need a leader of the offense who can run with their younguns.

Utah's missing piece is a director of the offense who is a veteran with championship experience:Rondo.

With all of their great young talent, they will be competitive for years to come with Rondo as they get their biggest need filled in a big way on an extremely reasonable contract.

In addition to AlJeff, who expires in 2013, they need to give us at least one, if not both  (they have GS's protected pick)of their picks from this years's draft. They have plenty of young talent and need Rondo more.

I do this if I were the Cs: Rondo + JO for AlJeff and their two 1st rounders this year.

rondo and al's names shouldn't be in the same trade talks period
like al's low post game but wow is that a huge amount to give to get him

I think if we are patient we have vets on short/expiring deals, jo, marquis, dooling and a draft pick or 2 that can work with a trade partner trying to shed salary
maybe can't get a guy like jefferson but we can get someone we can use
