Why would the GSW trade one of the best young PG prospects in the game, who also happens to be one of the best shooters in the game, AND one of the best scorers in the game for Rondo?  Steph Curry and Monta Ellis is the type of package that would get a player like Dwight Howard, not Rajon Rondo.

Rondo is elite...i think. Doc multiple times stated this is Rondo's team. Does that count for something on team with 3HOF? I mean look at Celtics record without Rondo. Celtics struggle without Rondo. In couple of years that jump shot will be identical to Ray Allen.

You never know Warriors might bite.

Yea, 3 HOFs not anywhere close to HOF playing at this point in their respective careers! Also, they say in many interviews that "THIS IS RONDO'S TEAM" (they also have to tell him a lot, so they say) as if they are trying to convince him of it! I think it's Rondo's team for the taking but from the way they say it so much, I honestly don't think they think he has taken control/leadership of it! Notice how PP said something like, "no more excuses" to the injured players... who doesn't think that was directed at RR? I'll agree that RR is worth a lot but both of them? No!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I'd consider doing it for Curry by himself

Yeah, but GSW wouldn't. According to reports, Ainge offered Rondo for Curry in order to trade him for Chris Paul before the season. However, GSW declined the offer.
I can see that ... the more I watch Curry the more I like him.  The guy can be a major star in this league.  I think he's a better defender than Rondo and comparing their shooting is a joke... Curry is an incredible shooter.   Since he's on his rookie contract still, i'd gladly swap Rondo for him.

I think it's hilarious that people think a 26 year old Rondo is going to turn into a sharp shooter in "a couple years"... as if every crap shooter regardless of their age is just "a couple years" away from turning into Ray Allen.  Ridiculous thinking.  ROndo will never be a good shooter.  Curry at age 23 is three times the shooter Rondo will ever be.

FYI I like Curry a heck of a lot more than Monta Ellis.  Monta Ellis reminds me of a poor man's Iverson... in other words, super overrated undersized ballhog chucker.

Curry is undersized for a SG, but his shooting is otherworldly.

Rondo is 25, and I don't think anyone (that I've seen on here anyways) assumes he's going to suddenly turn into Ray Allen or Steve Nash overnight. But I don't think it's ridiculous to think that he'll become an average shooter over his career...

And why do you think Curry is a better defender than Rondo...? Never heard that one before.

Rondo is 25 and 11 months.  My bad.  I'm just saying... people saying his shooting will significantly improve remind me of people who thought Gerald Green was going to "get it" or Shaq was going to start hitting his free throws

FOr all we know, Curry is better than Rondo at just about everything.  As soon as Golden State breaks up Monta and Curry... I fully expect Curry to be a mega star.  Ellis is a ball hog and its holding back Curry.

Tough to compare them because of their situations.  Rondo's had 3 hall-of-famers to dump the ball off to in a defense-first system.   Curry is sharing a loosy-goosy system with a ballhog chucker.  I mean last year you have Ellis taking 20-22 shots a night while Curry was taking 14.... except Curry was shooting 48%, 44% from three and 93% from the line while playing point guard.  Just stupid.  Bill Simmons has written about this before.  I can't wait to see what that kid does when he inevitably plays SG somewhere.

EDIT:  Tonight is a good example of what Curry's future holds:  32 points, 12-19 shooting, 6-8 from three, 7 assists,  6 rebounds, 4 steals... except those kind of shooting performances are natural for him.  Has to be the best young shooter in the league other than Durant.

If this is a the case, and it is not, why would GS do it?   I think Rondo is a better passer and defender.  Rondo would score more without the big three he would have too.  His assists would go down with them most likely but he would score more I would bet.

If Curry is that much better than Rondo why would they give him up?   I don't see it happening.
