Would love to get our hands on Anderson.
He had a shocking game against us the other night, but he is the closest thing to the next Dirk Nowitzki in my opinion.

He's closer to being Jeff Turner than he is Dirk.

It's not that they don't want to resign Anderson.  It's just that Orlando prefers to let the market set the price on restricted free agents and then match.  Did it with Gortat and Redick.

Much like Ainge; because despite his boneheaded decisions, his team has been successful under his reign

What's the site where you can check how successful certain lineups are for teams? I'd be interested to see how often Orlando used a lineup featuring both Dwight and Gortat, and if it worked.

Yeah.  The closest thing to the next Dirk Nowitzki is either Kevin Love or Andrea Bargnani, depending on your opinion of them / Dirk.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Let's remember Orlando made the Finals a couple years ago, and the Courtney Lee / Ryan Anderson trade seems to have worked out very well for the Magic.

Even good GMs do really dumb things when they're desperate to convince their superstar to stay (see what happened with Danny Ferry and the Cavs).

He's the guy that paid Rashard Lewis.

There's no coming back from that.

He could build up some good will for himself by gunning for Nash though...

82games.com

the 5-man units for last year dont seem to factor in Gortat (i guess due to the mid season trade), and the '09-'10 season isn't the best barometer as Gortat hadn't really hit his stride yet - regardless  it appears that the two virtually never played together during that season...

Just to jump back to the J-Rich discussion, i agree with you that he's a solid complimentary player (though he's really struggling right now) and there's no better option out there right now, i was more commenting on how i didn't really like the fit there to begin with.

Ah, yes. In that case I agree with you.
