Not sure what they saw in Flip to begin with...

Forgive me, I can't check numbers but wondering if this would at least make sense (the cap numbers can't be that far off)-

Wash sends: McGee
Wash receives: Gerald Wallace, Kwame Brown

Golden Sate Sends: Monta Ellis, Kwame Brown
Golden State receives: Javale McGee, Portland 1st

Portland sends: Gerald Wallace, Portland 1st
Portland receives: Monta Ellis

Of course contingent on Wallace extending w/ Washington

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I think he had this one coming. Too much talent on that team to be as bad as they are. Trade Blatche, but not McGee. Mcgee just needs proper coaching. If they are trading McGee Celtics should definitely be taking a long look.

I don't think bringing Kwame Brown back to DC is going to help with the fans.

He's a starting caliber center, and that puts them in a much better direction going forward.

Couple guys who've been in the league and know what it means to really play defense at this level. Passing lanes would be real tight.

But to the Wizard fans, he will always be the number 1 bust.

But still, you're not really selling them on Kwame. You're selling them on Gerald Wallace.

There'd obviously be a reaction to Kwame coming back, but I can't imagine - all things considered - that it'd be all that negative.

I am crazy and dumb, but I thought that was a pretty good trade for all three teams.

Flip Saunders was hired to coach the Wizards in April 2009.

Opening night roster for Washington, Nov 2009:

Gilbert Arenas G
Andray Blatche F/C
Caron Butler F/G
Javaris Crittenton G
Paul Davis C
Randy Foye G
Brendan Haywood C
Mike James G
Antawn Jamison F
JaVale McGee C/F
Dominic McGuire F/G
Mike Miller G/F
Fabricio Oberto F/C
DeShawn Stevenson G
Nick Young G/F

I take it back. Saunders should have been let go a long time ago out of fairness, because the team he's had to coach for the last season and a half has nowhere near that kind of talent.

Is it ownership, or Ernie Grunfeld, who's ultimately responsible for the parody of a franchise the Wizards have become?
