anything Danny does  this year trade wise should be based on next year or future team lineups  , not trying to save face this year. Its a waste of time bringing in former overpaid / not so great players ... no more BBD or such.  SIgning anybody out of acts of frustration....is not the answer

Unless he can work a deal for a "TRUE" impact player such as DH, Kevin Love, Wade , ect ...team center piece to start the next build around by some miracle (yea right ::))then just take our lumps this year. Make a bunch of good draft picks.  Maybe after a couple years or drafting good players , we will have enough pieces to actually trade to make up a good team once again.

We were sooooooooooooooooooo close.. only if CP3 had came.....we could have had an easier time rebuilding on the fly. I think its LOTTERY TIME at the Ranch folks!!

Would you add to the core of an apple if it was rotten?

I used to think that this might help, now I am not so sure.  Do you think we'd be in the same boat if we had a healthly Jeff Green?   I do.

I think Green would have helped our most glaring issue which is lack of athletes but would he have made us into a contender?  Nope.

We have a core of mid-30's former superstars who in all honesty probably gave us a season or two more of competitive basketball then most anyone thought they would when they came together. Make no mistake about it though, there was always an expiration date on this thing.

I personally am grateful to them for a marvelous run that lasted longer then I ever dream it would in 2007-08.  I'm grateful that we came out the other end with a truly elite PG because no one saw him as that in 2007-08, even if he ends up being an asset to be dealt later on.

I'm also grateful that next season(or at the dead line) we will start from scratch rather then in a major deficit brought on by taking on bad contracts.
Great post, TP for you.  The team has been wonderfully entertaining and I too am grateful.  times have changed and this group just cannot compete at the required level anymore.  It is disappointing but not at all surprising.

That said, I think the team has a run in them this season and I expect them to be in the playoffs.  Therefore I don't think they will be in lottery.

as bad as we've looked thus far this season, I just cant believe we are THIS bad....obviously KG is what he is so far...a jumpshooter who can give you 13/7 on most nights

but I just cant think Pierce has degraded from one of the best SF's to the worst.

im not expecting much, but this team very well could start clicking and go on a run...and end up just above .500

I still think they make the playoffs, although they are now 2 behind the powerful Cleveland Cavs for the 8th spot.   :o

and there's another L to the mighty Phoenix Suns !

Upcoming schedule

Was
Orl
Orl
Ind
CLE
Cle

to close out January . I can't see them going better than 3-3, more likely 2-4 with an injured rondo.

That puts them at 7- 13 or 8-12 already having played almost 1/3 of the season .

TANK!!
