I don't even see Rondo as a definite right now.  Rose and Deron have bigger names as PGs.  If the C's get it in gear before the all star game, they might get one member as an all-star

The coaches vote for the reserves, and unless D-Will significantly turns his play around and picks up some wins for the Nets, I don't see any way he's an all-star this year.

We don't have to worry about the fans' votes as Rose and Wade are locks for the starting positions.

Unless things change dramatically, Rondo's a definite all star.  One of the big three (I'm guessing Ray) has a shot to make it as well.  Three or four Celtics on the all-star team looks like a long shot this year.

Let Paul and KG sit home and stew over their snubs on all-star weekend and come back rested and fired up for the stretch run of the season.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Only way we'd have more than 2 players in the all-star is if someone gets injured.. But I'm we'd have at least 2 - Rondo and Ray/Paul.. KG? Iffy.. Doesn't matter anyways, people only want to see James, Wade, Howard, Melo and Rose.. I'll just root for Ray in the three-point shootout, hope he finally wins it as a Celtic!

It does matter, even if only as a resume builder.  Fans like us are always factoring in how many times guys have been all-stars when ultimately reckoning and assessing a player's career's worth.

This is why the coaches should take their responsibility seriously when filling out their ballots for these kinds of things.

not seeing the C's with 4 stars this year.  Their record won't dictate it.
Yup

Who deserves it? rondo and ray, I do believe it will be rondo voted on as reserve and ray will get on coach's list but the all star has always been more of a popularity thing than anything

It's very early in the season...but obviously only Rondo and Ray deserve to be all stars from the Celtics....Deron Williams doesn't deserve it and Joe Johnson is so iffy(Josh Smith and Al Horford are better)....Ryan Anderson from Orlando?? I like Andre I. from philly especially since they are winning, but I'm serious if Deron Williams makes it, I might be done watching the NBA...he is a disaster right now....plus if he was such a superstar the Nets wouldn't be 2-8...cmon man! Luol Deng has hit a wall, his past 4 games have been pretty brutal...he now has no chance...and what about Carlos Boozer??  If Ray and Rondo can at least play somewhat decent these next couple of weeks it would be tough to snub them because other than DRose and Dwade the guard crop is pretty weak...The starters are almost a lock...so it comes down to the coaches picking the reserves and it's always nice having the best shooter in the NBA on an All Star squad, just my biased opinion!!

Oh by the way I forgot Andre Bargnani from Toronto...he is a monster so far this season, he is listed as a forward on the all star ballot, it's going to be so tough this year to make it as a forward....but what do I know...
