Doc did get out coached. He couldn't string together a lineup that could match Indiana's rebounding, second chance points, and eventual shooting touch, that come from all the rebounding...( you get to keep shooting till it works!) along with Celts aged guys who are a step slower, and a reflex lesser in their jump than younger teams.
Our rebounding; Doc's stance was, last year and previous- Don't waste energy on offensive rebounding, get back on D....Well, that is here again. I watched Steisma ( steamer ) movng well without the ball, and, after every shot while he was out there ( limited) roll to the hole looking for that rebound. Bass stopped doing that..if he ever did last night, and NO one else...with the exception of RONDO tried t at all. So it is a one shot possesion. You cannot live by jumpshooting alone.
Steisma.....he has a hand on almost every ball, offense or defense rebounds...his "tips" will not show up on a stat, but t can be just as good as a rebound, because our guys can be the ones who get it from that. His desire to block shots is good, and effective. On the offense, he knows when to take his shot, when to pass, and when to use his body as an offense ( pick ) that is as good as a pick.it blocks the defender, giving rondo lane, that really wasn't there without it. The problem with this, is that doc pulled him way too early.
A lineup with Oneil or steamer, kg and bass would have been worth a try, with Ray and rondo, especally when we were within 7 in the last 5 minutes....can't say he was SAVING our guys for later....their rebounding was killing us..our shooting was very poor, and even passing was weak....odd night overall...and the refs...ugh, ugh.....impossible to fathom..they are barely high school quality..and are killing the league..it looks worse than "pro" boxing....fixed or not qualified.
this is completely off topic, but a question i have wanted to ask, why do u always use "....." in every post? i feel like 99% of all ur post have it. not starting anything with u, just an odd inquiry i have
Do.."I" really do that a lot...it can't remember the last time i did it.....what does it mean..? Well, in this case "tips" wereso done to seperate because otherwise, in reading it..tips might have sounded like advice..when i wanted them to be known as he tipped the ball, aka, always gets a hand in on there,,,tuned into the play and actively looking to be there.....i don't mind the quote..about my using the quotations....just something i do....How about the guy who reads the story, and instead of considering the content, he analysis the grammer and punctuation....i sense a wanna be 4th grade teacher..."well, yes teacher..but, but..okay, I'll go stand in the corner..!". Hey look, he did it again..!
