I just don't think he'll end up being better than David West.

His mid range shot was sweet though. I don't watch much David West but Brandon Bass seems to put in a lot of work and that goes a long way with his athleticism. (Sad that a lot of physically gifted players just don't work to improve.)

What David West has that Bass doesn't is excellent ball-handling ability.  West can execute nifty dribble drives from the 3-point line, to get all the way to the rim or pull-up for mid-range jumpers.

Bass has the J, finishing ability inside and enough of a handle to make basic straight-line dribble drives from 15 feet out, but he can't complete the same range of offensive plays that West can.

That said, in this system, playing so many minutes alongside play-makers like Rondo and Pierce, Bass can be nearly as prolific and efficient as West.  Just gives us a few less options offensively.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I see. My bad. Bass can still develop his game though so who knows. The important thing is that he keeps beasting :D

I wonder what SVG is alluding to.

If it's related to basketball, my guess is that BBD is whining about not being a starter.  Baby kind of anointed himself with the position, and SVG and Ryan Anderson had something to say about that.

Certainly a good guess.

When are they finally going to can SVG?  ORL is such a disfunctional place, not surprising Davis is fitting in there (or not).   ;)

I would say the same, good guess. I had a chance to catch some of the Orlando game last night and while I was still cringing watching BBD play (I didn't watch for long but what I did see was a few bricks)I was also very happy knowing he was finally gone and that we got a very good replacement who doesn't appear to be a headcase.

In fairness to Baby, there are probably a lot of players who would struggle in SVG's idiotic offense.  Through 7 games, Ryan Anderson is shooting 7.9 three-pointers a game.  That's more than Ray has ever averaged for a season.

Seems to be true, but remember its easy to be a team guy who's got his head right when you're playing well.
