How bad of a start until Danny concede's to rebuilding-mode?

At what point does Danny draw the line? If the C's keep stinking up the joint (the 2007-2008 C's with a less trained Rajon Rondo and even without Paul Pierce would not start 0-3! ), there's got to be some rational point where he decides, "Screw it! I'm trading the Big 3 for Draft Picks." I'd rather see young prospects like Al Jefferson circa 2006 being trained and developed than old players whom don't have the energy to win on the 2nd night of a back-to-back against a team that just lost Chris Paul.

Is there a motive to not trade the Big 3 even if Paul Pierce being out for the year on a more serious injury than the C's are leading on? (remember KG and ShaQ injury information...) C's get to be a Pretender even if they slide in on the back-door of the playoffs at 8th seed. Then get ousted by a Miami team they have minimal chance against even when fully healthy. Keep the fans in the seats, money in your pocket and a false-hope of signing someone like Dwight Howard.

like kurt rambis said, you have to have the whole team healthy before you assess where we're at

without pierce, pietrus, and wilcox, we cant grade the team... some of you are irrational, impatient, and reactional...

No it's not. If we still have a losing record after our next stretch of games against bad Eastern teams, then, yes, it will be time to panic. Until then... nope.

Do our guys have as much value as you think they do?   At best I think we will absorb some bad contracts and get mid level to high mid level players and not elite players from our aged guys.   This will sacrifice any cap flexibility but I doubt we are going to sign away any big time stars.   Our stars and Doc are our signing draws.   If we trade guys away we won't have one of them.

this team can't defend at the level we are used to. and therefore they will continue to lose games.

No the sky isn't falling , but the Celtics are now 1-2 years past any hopes of another banner with the present superstars.

ALl we have now for the future is Rondo.  ANd PP as a Boston ICON to keep as reminder of better days past.

KG looked 50 years old playing last night. You can't run out of steam 3 games into the season....the writing is on the wall.

Team is now made up of tons of guys with little trade value (save Rondo) , green and Bass.  We can't give the others away , much less expect to recive new younger talent.  CP3 was right , there is nothing left at Boston. WIthout him to draw talent, the only way now to compete is the draft and 10 years of trading and luck

I'd only trade them for guys who's contracts are up at the end of this year, even if they suck and get a Draft Pick or two for helping the other team with a talent upgrade. Assuming that the C's clearly show they no longer have it (being a clever trade away or getting lucky with health plus injuries to contenders to win the championship) as more games are being played. No one knows for sure yet but 0-3 start even without Pierce looks terrible.

And no, the sky isn't falling yet, just preparing myself incase it proves to be true.
