Baby had three pluses:

1. Positional and usage flexibility (PF or C, starter or bench)
2. Team defender
3. Dirty work defender

He has a lot of flaws - playing next to Dwight should actually help him, since Dwight is a human eraser on defensive mistakes I expect he'll maintain his defensive value, and have less usage on offense, plus get the weaker defenders.

Plus Dwight covers for a multitude of rebounding sins.

Big Baby playing next to Howard, who's acting like a big baby...should be quite the mix in Orlando.  Wait until Glen starts complaining about his role or shot total, and also finds the nearest McDonalds...

BBd, was...in my opionion, a lazy player, who did what he wanted, not what the team needed. He developed that 10 foot shot, which was decent, but I think it was to cover the fact that he wouldn't rebound consistantly. Shooting a 10 footer is a lot easier, but wth KG, Ray and PP...we don't need bbd trying that shot all the time....or his few tries at a 3       ( ugh ) in REAL games, not garbage time when he should've tried it. His weight, and how many times he got his shot blocked are tied together. If he was the weight, but could get it done, diff story. A utility forward like him shouldn't get outrebounded by the pg. Bass had shown some good play, knowing his role / job. But, hadn't seen enough of him. BBD did do some good positional D on bgger guys, but also got smoked by young, tall shooting forwards. Niconi, and guys like that. I like to thnk we'll be better off.

Just read another post, right, BBD...i hated when he said " I don't know my role here"  Come on. Shorter forward, with big body...Try the Barkley role, THAT was his position, he just didn't want to do it. Playing next to Howard BBD will never get a pass....so he better become a ball getter, instead a ball wanter..!

Curious how the BBD/Van Gundy marriage is going to work...Have a feeling not well.

here's a more familiar picture when he's not flexing every muscle in his body for camera

yes he looks in shape, but nothing really noticeably different, and definitely not like the incredible hulk.

I remember us seeing these media day pictures of Shaq the year he was in Cleveland and everyone was scared.

I really think some of these guys go to the weight room and lift before they go out and meet the media.  It's also worth pointing out that no matter how much baby works out and how big and strong he gets, it wont cure stupid.  He makes horrible basketball decisions, and can come off as a real nut when cameras, reporters, and social media devices are within his grasp.
