I thought I saw an article quoting Bosh as saying he was going to play more C on ESPN.
That's always been the plan for Riley.  Unfortunately, Bosh is too slim to bang with even mediocre centers, which is the same reason KG has always resisted playing at the 5.

I don't think it has been. Playing Bosh at center isn't the type of basketball Pat Riley likes. He has been pretty strong in holding to his basketball philosophies of physical teams who play tough defense and rebound hard.

I don't think Bosh at center has ever been Riley's first choice. He just hasn't had an opportunity to get his team a quality center yet.

The best chance Riley had to get a quality center was last year with what salary cap room he had left over from the Little 3.  Instead, he spent it on Haslem and Miller.  Now, he's apparently spent his available money on Shane Battier.  At no point has there even been a rumor about Riley seriously looking at either a center or PG.

Riley's plan was always to forego those two positions and play a line up of Wade, Bron, Bosh, Haslem and Miller, now Battier.  Maybe not to start the game and maybe not for the whole game, but that was clearly the 5 he was going to put on the court for most of the game and at the end.  Instead of trying to put the most complete team on the floor, Riley has falen in love with a lineup that has glaring weaknesses on the theory that Wade and Bron are so great it doesn't matter.

so their center situation is basically the same?
Minus Dampier and Big Z ... with Pittman or E.Curry getting a chance.

Looks like a downgrade to me.

Well, so long as they don't start using Bosh there like they should have done all along.

im fine with that.  traditional centers should eat bosh for lunch.

There are not many primo traditional centers you would give a fork and spoon too.

Bosh will be more than fine, he will probably dominate opposing Centers 10 fold.
