if we are going for a home run, lets go for a home run.

After next season, Trade Rondo for Anderson Varajeo and draft picks.  Let KG, Ray, Jermaine, etc walk.

Recruit Howard and Paul to come play together.  Who else would have that kind of cap room outside of some small market franchise with no history?

  • Rondo = Good

Rondo for Anderson Varejao doesn't seem like the best of options, and also I don't think there is any way The Celtics would make that trade. Or even really trade Rondo. He is becoming a real staple on our team, and Danny said (for this season at least) he has no intentions of trading him, and I don't see why he would change his mind for Anderson Varejao.
It would be cool to have Paul & Howard, but I don't think it will happen.

Not the slightest chance of that happening that way. Reasons: D12, from what I'm hearing on ESPN and on the this blog may just want to go to a big market team like LA and CP3 wants to be in New York with Carmelo, BUT I could see a trade involving Rondo for CP3 and THEN signing D12 in the offseason. To me its the most likely scenario IF the ball rolls the Celtics' way. The Knicks resigned Billups so I don't see CP3 going there unless the Hornets trade for Billups and fillers. The Lakers would have to trade a big time core player and I don't think Buss is looking to trade Odom or Gasol, the Magic don't want to take on a young injury ridden center in Bynum, but may take the risk.
