First and foremost, Green played fairly well tonight.  Obviously he still defers way too much to the Big Three.  Half the time he's looking to pass the ball without even looking to see if he has a shot.  When Bosh was on him I would've loved to see him take him off the dribble. 

That said, regardless of how you think he played, I think he'll be much better next year.  Give them a full training camp and I think Doc will find some interesting ways to use him that will give PP and Ray breaks and also pose a very dangerous lineup with the Four All Stars and Green on the floor.

A big issue with this team is our Big 3 are actually pretty passive themselves.

They are a jump shooting set of stars.

That's just their games now at their respective stages in their careers.

The most aggressive players on our team is Rondo and Baby.

How fitting was it that when Jeff Green fumbled the ball down the stretch completely costing us the most crucial possesion of the game they immediately pan to the bloated red face of Danny Ainge. Danny ... please make up for this debacle in the offseason because the "Big 3" era cannot end on a note like this.

He was the only one "playing" at the end of the game.
He did the same for majority of the series.


Bottom Line: If you don't think he has talent, your stubborn. His talent was not utilized, sure he didnt play his best ball, but his talent wasnt ultiized to the best possible way.
But, he is talented, we've seen he can hit threes, take his man off the dribble, and post up (don't know why we didnt use this in this series) Also, he is the most athletic guy on the team. He is physical when he wants to be (have to change that) He is fast as lightning, and he can play good defense. He can hit mid range jumpshots all day, and can create a mismatch almost every time he touches the ball.

Now, it's tough for a guy who is used to 38 minutes in a completely different system to come off the bench for the Celtics. Not to mention, it was in the latter-end of the season and they didn't get much practice/work or time together. That's tough. Looks to me like all the times he scored it was 1 on 1 and not because of the offense.

The first thing Paul, Ray, and Jeff said when asked about next season, getting "more time to bond and play during the offseason would help them out"

Let's remember that Ray Allen looked out of place at times his first year here because he didn't exactly know how to play with Paul and KG.  But he eventually got it. 

Even Chris Bosh--tool that he is--has improved as the year has gone on in terms of fitting in with Wade and LeBron. 

I think Green will get better, regardless what anyone thinks of him (good or bad).  It's not easy be put in a situations totally foreign to you and then in one year be told to make an impact, but in the other ear being told to defer to the Big Three plus Rondo.
