agreed.

we had no length last night.

I'm not saying that curly would have blocked some of amare's dunks/drives, or even met him with a hard foul, but he certainly would have helped with rebounding, and especially on the offensive end.  Just because the Knicks don't have a true center, that doesn't mean that we should play without one either.

Jermaine was the man last night, but he is too similar to KG in terms of size and length.

Sorry but this doesn't make any sense to me?  Krstic may be taller than JO but he isn't half the inside presence.

rebounding my friend.  my point "length" is more along the lines of kristic over baby for rebounding, but my comparison of jermaine/nedad is that nedad gets more rebounds on the floor with KG, jermaine is def a better inside presence.  I never said anything about inside presence, in fact I already said curly is less effective as an inside presence.

Sorry but I take the inside presence and shot blocking/altering over length.  You are probably right that JO doesn't get rebounds because he is busy challenging shots that Krstic might get.  But if Krstic were in there instead of JO, many of those would be made shots (with no rebound to be had).

I am not sure Krstic has a place in this series but BBD can change that if he keeps stinking up the joint.

Jermaine got 3 offensive boards, which is very good for his minute total. He needs to get a few more defensive boards though.

Krstic, Murphy... it's all the same, they shouldn't be on the floor. What's exactly the point?

Length? Those guys don't block shots or protect the rim, disregard how long they are.  Lenght by itself doesn't matter, it's what you do with it. And these two do very little. They won't take their much smaller defender to the low blocks and collect points with post-ups. They can't and won't do that.

You're putting yourself in trouble defending the transition, having worse help defense because they're so slow, giving their perimeter bigs some good looks from the 3 point line or driving lanes or open paths to cut and all those transition shots to gain exactly what? It's just a mismatch in their favour.

They benefit from superior speed and quickness, Boston won't benefit from the superior size because those guys don't really play "big".

There's only one reason to keep them on the rotation (besides having them matched with NYK conventional 5s).

I really don't think that Nonads Kristine-ic is going to help us much, if at all.

Big Baby looked gassed in the 4th. I know we are waiting for Shaq, and limiting JO, but if playing Kristic 5 extra minutes keeps Big baby fresher, I'm all for it.

Jermaine only played 23 minutes largely due to foul trouble. Given how many minutes he played against the Wizards I think we're past minute limitations at this point.

I agree that BBD looked pretty gassed at the end, probably from playing so many minutes guarding Amar'e. Still he needs to be able to handle 20-25 minutes of playoff basketball.
