Why is Doc so stubborn with his lineups?  I understand that Jermaine is more of an inside presence defensively than Kristic, but the Celtics had NO inside defense with Kristic and BBD on the floor together.  I understand this may change if/when Shaq returns, but what if that doesn't happen?  I think Kristic actually needs to be back in the starting lineup so we can have equal length and intensity in both the starting lineup and the bench.

Thoughts?

I hope he wants Jermaine out there getting comfortable with the starters, and them comfortable with him. Because if we don't have Shaq we need KG or Jermaine on the court for our defense to function well.

So I agree with you the current rotation isn't the best to win games, if Krstic is getting signifigant minutes at C it should be with KG out there.

If healthy, JO HAS to be the center finishing games. He is better than Perkins. Defensively, he is more than capable of filling Perk's role. He just needs to get comfortable. The more PT the better. He may not be as good a rebounder, but he is a pretty good one. He is a significantly better shot-blocker. Offensively, it's no contest.

I'd be shocked if Doc doesn't go to him to close out in the playoffs.

Yeah, it was terrible to watch Boozer get hot versus a weaker lineup. His height will be a major issue for Chicago in the playoffs. He can't deal with taller guys when it matters, so last night he got to scream and yell and act tough. Shaq or Jermaine, KG etc can shut him down. Baby & Nenad not so much.

towards the ends of games i can see doc going with the small lineup  KG BBD...definately not a poor free throw shooter like Shaq.  I do think they loose something offensively with JO out there too, but they may need to make that sacrifice strictly for defensive purposes.
