It's stupid to guess on another man's health.  None of us know what's going to happen...but we ALL know that our playoff success is entirely dependent on their returns.  That's just scary.

I'm stupid for having some optimism?  ::)

Not what I meant.  I'm just saying you don't know anything about Shaq's injury.  I don't know anything about Shaq's injury.  Virtually none of us do

Danny Ainge does.

Danny made a horrible move to create a roster spot for Troy Murphy because he felt that he'd be healthy.

Wrong

This recent "slump" has me frustrated as much as anyone and during games I just can't fathom why they aren't playing better and winning these games that should be cakewalks.

With that said, this is no excuse for the poor play recently, but if you stop and look back at the season so far I actually think it is pretty remarkable how this team has fared so far given the almost insurmountable amount of injuries and the revolving door of starting centers. I honestly don't think many teams in this league could be as consistent as we had been up until the last month with having to play with a different rotation game in and game out.

I just wonder if it is all catching up with us a little bit because if you would have told me before the season that we would have this many injuries and this many different rotations I would have automatically pegged us for the 4th seed at best. I don't doubt one bit that this team will be ready come playoff time I just hope we can kick it into high gear these last 10-11 games and get HCA. I have to think the basketball gods will reward us with that given the amount of unfortunate little "hurdles" we have had to endure throughout the season. Here is hoping although if we don't get HCA in the East I still have faith in this team. GO CELTS!!

If Danny didn't make that move people like you would be complaining about how over tired Peirce and Ray are.  ::)

You guys need to calm down, theres a reason Danny is the GM. I thought a nice sideway move to get Battier would of been great, but I'm sure he tried to pull that off first. We are where we are, and it we are far from out of the hunt.

No worries, in a week we'll have:

Shaq/JO
KG/Baby
Paul/Green
Ray/Wafer
Rondo/West

+Krstic and Pavlovic

Best roster we've had all year.

people have been saying Shaq is gonna be back in a week for the past two months.  Im not saying he wont be back, just saying these 'relax [insert name here] will be back on tuesday' started getting old 3 weeks ago.

I don't know about that, I think the general consensus has been we're just resting him.  Originally it was a day to day Achilles injury but then reports came out that the foot's been flaring up.

Finally the playoffs are arriving and coincidently both O'Neals are suddenly ready to get back on the court.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
