You're right - Donny is just so boring, so neutral and so uninteresting that whenever he's on I put the DVR in fast forward.  I routinely record all the games, then start watching the game about an hour after it has started so I can fast forward thru commercials, halftime and Donny Marshall.

I miss Cous.  Letting him go was a big mistake.  I love Mike, Tommy, Walton and Donnie Wahlberg.....  Sometimes when I'm forced to watch the games ( I live nowhere near Boston) with the other teams announcers and sometimes the national announcers, I mute it and play music on my iPod.

It must be a slow news day when we're talking about how Donny Marshall, yet I know that's not true. Huh? And considering the fact I got to see a Celtics game on CSN ON TV for the first time in two years (which meant I got to see pre-game AND post-game for once), I found most of you a tad ungrateful to even have the option to be bored/annoyed/frustrated with Donny in the first place.

We need to see actions from the Celtics, not words.

Donny must go.  He must commit to a peaceful transition. And he must do so within days, not weeks and certainly not months.

Members of the Celtics will be held accountable for unnecessary violence and unnecessary Donny.

If Donny remains with the Celtics we will not rule out and may consider petitioning the United Nations for greater sanctions to begin against the Celtics next year.

A few things here.. A. Sherod Blakely reminds me a bit of Kermit the frog. I think it's the scrunched up face that looks a bit like a muppet beak.

Donny reminiscing about his glory days at uconngets really old. Yes we all knew you were a bench warmer on the nets team that beat us in the playoffs. Congratulations.

Bill Walton must have dropped a lot of acid because some of the things he says on air are really awkward and at times downright bizzare. Best Walton quote this year? "Let it flow, let it grow, turn that water on".. I will say this though. He's more amusing and far less annoying than Walt Clyde Frazier with the knicks who try's to rhyme everything and just sounds ridiculous.

TP Tai.  I can't imagine how tough that must be to not be able to watch a C's home market game on TV for two years.

This year I've gone down to school in Florida so for about two thirds of the season I am an out of market fan and it really sucks having to watch the games online at school and not get the pre and postgames.

As for Donny I don't really mind him or Tanguay and don't think they're that bad.

Clyde is awesome. I wish we had him. One of the best color guys for those of use who like color commentators and not cheerleaders.

I don't think neutrality is Donny's problem. I think he is just not compelling.

I am never shy in saying I think that Tommy is a horrible color guy since he is essentially just a cheerleader and cannot control his homerism. Yet, when Tommy is in the studio, he is way more interesting that Donny. I have grown tired of Donny throwing out cliche analysis and pretending it is something profound.

During games, while I am not a Donny fan, I am happy when anyone is there instead of Tommy so that I don't have to listen to someone yelling about a call that was actually good but he is unwilling to admit it. But I feel Donny has a fundamental problem in his broadcasting style. I feel like he feels the need to talk in a rhythm where he has to elaborate after every sentence Mike speaks. He also needs to be more conversational with Mike in his comments because he does not have Hubie Brown's cache. Brown can do that because he is a great basketball mind.

I would hope that Donny could improve because I once felt similarly about Reggie Miller but I feel like he has improved. But I don't feel like Donny brings much to the table beyond being well dressed.
