Tough game last night.

3/9/2011

Boston Celtics 103
LA Clippers 108

He didnt have a great game but I thought he was engaged on defense (Mo got alot of his open shots on poor Celtics rotations) for alot of the game and was pretty aggressive going to the basket on offense. Shots just werent falling last night on a lot of nice setup passes (KG comes to mind). On a better shooting night rondo would have had 15+ assists. So my verdict is...

GOOD RONDO!

GOOD RONDO - 1 (W/L in these games 0-1)
BAD RONDO - 1 (W/L in these games 1-0)

Hang on...if I'm reading these numbers correctly, then when Bad Rondo plays, our odds of winning go up by approximately 100%.  TRADE GOOD RONDO!!

the guy is playing way too many minutes. he looks visibly tired, especially at the end of the games. i was watching last night and during a timeout in the 3rd or 4th quarter, it looked like he was struggling to catch his breath. we put so much weight on him on the offensive side to lead us, and then with mo shooting lights out last night, he was forced to put a lot of energy into defense (tho he didnt seem like he had much). he just needs some rest. when dwest comes back, i think rondo should sit for one or two games.

It's that ring....blame the ring. It turns Rondo into Smeagol...gotta take the good with the bad if we want to make it Mordor (banner 18)....

Is there any way to implement a new poll in the thread for each game: We could have twenty-four hours to vote good Rondo or bad Rondo after the game is completed. Just an idea... Not married to it or anything.

Is the 24 hour voting period before the game is played or after?

If that was good Rondo against LA, I can't imagine what bad Rondo is like.

I was thinking it could be twenty-four hours starting right after the game is played. So, for example, The C's next game is against 76ers, March 11, at 7PM. Let's say the game ends at 9:30PM. People could come into this thread at 9:30PM, cast their vote for good or bad Rondo until 9:30PM on March 12.

IMO it is not Good Rondo/Bad Rondo...it is Good Rondo/Injured Rondo/Over worked Rondo.   Rondo has not often had decent backup, where he could get a rest for a few minutes without sacrificing leads and momentum.  When Rondo was suffering from planter fasciitis, Nate couldn't play because his knee was sore, and even when he could play he was not effective.  Now we finally have capable backup for Rondo and I expect that he will rediscover his energy.  Rondo is a terrific point guard, and now the team has to learn to play together again.  I have said this in numerous threads.  They all want to win, they will figure it out, Doc is the perfect coach to get them all on the same page.  UBUNTU!

This is a great idea! Can anyone help me with figuring out how to do this? Will I have to manually insert the poll after every game (never started a poll before).

Probably talked about before, but I'm really surprised in how Rondo doesn't cut to the basket anymore. He doesn't take it to the hoop strong anymore. I remember him dropping close to deron williams numbers 20pts and 10assts a game. What do you think has happened to him?
