The good news is Miami would be happy to take either one of these players as a starter and we can't even agree if we want either as a backup.
Good food, like good music and good love, always requires a little sweat in the making in order for it to be truly memorable.

For the Celtics?

I'd say in the case of a Rondo injury, Ford.  He's a better floor general, and he's a lot closer to Rondo's game than Bibby is (although there's obviously a big gap there).

In the case of Rondo staying healthy, definitely Bibby.  We don't ask our backup guards to do much, and Bibby would be a fantastic situational shooter.
More or less matches my thoughts.

I think we need Rondo insurance, so Ford makes more sense. If West goes down - you play Pierce at SG some and get Green more burn, use Ford to platoon at PG behind Rondo. If Rondo goes out, you cannot can put Ford in as the starter and leave the rest of the rotation alone.

Bibby would be a better option if C's didn't already have lots of shooters at the wing / guards. Pierce, Ray, West, and Wafer are all good shooters, and if they add Murphy they'll have a big that is a legit threat too.

sherod blakley says "Bibby may not be a good fit, he's an up and down shooter with poor D." translation: he's not coming to boston but I can't tell you that yet

They're asked to defend.

Bibby needs to shoot a lot to make up for the points he gives up on the other side of the  ball. And he doesn't shoot a lot because he's basically limited to spot-up opportunities.

Translation needed or not, that's Bibby in a nutshell.

bibby gave up 6.2million (his entire 2011-12 salary because he wanted to play for a winner.

Why would he go to MIA?
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

They'll just cut Carlos Arroyo and Jamaal Magloire. Less probable, Dexter Pittman/Eddie House.
