Sarcasm aside, in a few years we could see the roles reversed

but something tells me PP will hang up the sneakers before he becomes a role/bench player, he's already accomplished so much, I doubt he wants to go the Patrick Ewing route at the end

Pierce and KG are retiring together, I saw him say it in an interview.

Again, what interview was this?

It was during the off season on media day, I came across it, the quest was "When are you going to hang them up" and he said "When KG is ready to call it quits"

A couple years ago Pierce said he only has a few more years in him.

I doubt Ray or Pierce would want to continue playing if this team is no longer contending. 2012 is the last hurrah for the Big 3.

sometimes its hard to hang them up though, especially when you watch players play and say I could still keep up with them - think of all the failed comebacks (and few succesful ones) that guys make after retiring

I can see Ray sticking around a bit longer considering his OCD.

KG and Pierce love playing the game about as much as winning a championship. I can picture both playing a reduced role - just to be in the game of basketball.

What we want is for Pierce to see him as his 'Supersized Me', take him under his wing--and wing position--and be ever so proud when his protege surpasses him.

Be a long time before he surpasses PP.

PP would be a great 6th man - and besides, why make this part of the season any easier for Doc?

I was almost so mad.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Thank God this was a joke.

People have been so thrown off by what happened this week. I think were all going a little crazy, thinking about too much.

Im glad Rtpas hasnt gone off the deep end yet!

I could definitely see them going for a reduced role especially if we are still in contention for a finals spot.
