Kobe/Bynum is a tough defensive combo for Rondo to work against.  Kobe's size takes away Rondo's post-up, physical slashing game and Bynum's length takes away the easy finish at the rim.

Our counter of Ray vs. Fisher is made tougher because Kobe sags to take away the pass off the curl.  Thus we're left trying to exploit Ray on the post vs. Fisher which has yielded mixed results.

Our viable counters are Pierce pick and rolls and KG post-ups.  Pierce's ability to light up Artest in our first game forced a defensive switch allowing Rondo to torch the Laker's crappy PG rotation.

Pierce and KG being off in the 2nd game allowed the Lakers to sustain the same defensive strategy to hinder the C's offense, while capitalizing on our lack of big men depth sans Shaq/JO to get high % looks for their offense.

With D. West available as a counter and our big men depth likely to return, I think we'll have ways to counter such strategies without Rondo changing his game.

Then again, if Rondo can start hitting that J consistently, which he's trying to do now, then all this is moot.
