Before all the Tony Allen fanatics start coming out of the closet and professing what a mistake it was to lose Tony and how great Tony can be when given minutes lets remember a few points:
1. The last time Tony Allen scored over 20 points in a game was on 11/9/2008 against a Detroit team that had just traded away Chauncey Billups and added Allen Iverson and was in complete disarray.
2. Scoring is not Tony Allen's game.
3. In this GREAT defensive game he had last night he held Kevin Durant to 2 point OVER his scoring average of 29 PPG and 1 percent point OVER his average FG%.
4. The ONLY reason he is on the court starting is because Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo aren't playing at the moment.
TP Nick for the info, and I agree with you.
However, I do want to make one quick point: Everyone talks about how inconsistent Tony was, but people fail to see that Delonte is inconsistently on the court. I'd rather have someone who is at least consistently healthy. This means that I'd rather have Tony over Delonte or Marquis, although I do like Delonte. Either way, this latest game from Tony is a flash in the pan.
