I think we're being quick to judge on Luke. I mean I never thought that Baby would be on this team after his rookie year but I was wrong and he developed like most players do. Luke is a rookie... and he has seen some playing time but not much and he hasn't proved his value so of course no one wants him... they don't know much about him beyond what they already know.

I hope Luke is on this team next year so that we can watch him develop and if he doesn't develop and flops and turns into a dud then see ya but somehow I just don't see that happening. The NBA isn't known for players staying on teams that drafted them and that is a little annoying but I just don't see that Danny drafts him, likes him, then cuts him when he has done good things.

Look, I like the guy too. He is an effort player that is undersized and doesnt have a true position. The thing is, Danny the GM is very adept at finding guys who can make a contribution. You know he has to be looking at his roster and saying " who can I draft here deep in the second round that will work hard enough, have some skill and credibility and fit in with the veteran players? Who will do all this and not mind sitting on the end of the bench in street clothes on the majory of nites and still not mind being pounded in practice?"

Gody is that guy this season. Maybe he has a career like Scalabrine. Maybe like Ryan Gomes. If we keep him I am fine with it, I just dont put much stock in his value beyond a 13-15th man at this point. I dont think the rest of the league does either. Time will tell.

Yeah that's what I'm saying... time will tell. Right now he is a end of the bench guy but some others are saying "he'll never be"... and that's hard to judge that since it's his first year. Who knows what kind of player this kid will turn out to be in 10 years... could be a solid starter, 6th man, role guy, or flipping burgers.
