I heard on PTI that Golden State's owner said he's willing to trade Curry. He doesn't think he and Ellis can co-exist.
What are the chances the Celtics have enough to get him without hurting the team?
Delonte West, Bradley and Gody for Curry? Works on the trade checker. Throw in a first round pick? Curry might turn out to be the next Ray Allen.
This is why I stopped posting on this site as much as I used to... do you honestly believe that trade would interest the Warriors, or do you say that to be funny?
So ignore the trade proposals.
Anyhow, I actually believe the Warriors FO is getting this one right by choosing to keep Monta (although I don't expect them to deal either one of them). Ellis is a better scorer and a much better defender.
I honestly believe that Curry may be the worst starting PG in the league, in terms of defense - it's between him and Calderon. There are guys like Nash who are clearly poor defenders, but at least Nash tries. I've never seen Curry fight through a screen.
Monta, on the other hand, is much quicker, so he stands a better chance at staying in front of PG's. I've seen him play well on defense in spurts, so I think the ability is there.
