why does rondo continue to shoot outside jumpers?

Because he's wide open and making them?

It's funny.  He gets called out for not shooting jumpers and called out FOR shooting jumpers.

If Rondo develops a solid, dependable jumper that forces his defenders to play close to him on the perimter you will be seeing a lot of highlights of him blowing past people at the perimeter lol Keep shootin Rondo!
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

I have way more problems with the shots Rondo DOESN'T take than the ones he does.
I agree. I think shooting them will help him get more confident in his shot, which is what he needs to improve on his shooting.

I have less of a problem with this than a lot of people here. Opposing coaches will let him shoot outside jumpers until the cows come home if it keeps KG/PP/RA from shooting the ball. That's the same reason BBD's been leading the team in shots taken over the last 5 games and also has the lowest fg% of any of the starters over that time frame.

Exactly in order to get better he is going to have to put up the shots in practice and in the game.

I was thinking of layups for the most part.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Glad he's taking and making them.

Now for free throws.

because no one's guarding that shot. it's like a practice shot to him, except with a rowdier environment.

the good thing is, he doesn't make that outside jumper of his as the team's "first option". When the shot clock is winding down or when someone else has set him up for that shot, then he takes it.
