I just received my Christmas present ... a win in Orlando! It wasn't wrapped very nicely, but I'll take it just the same. Thank you, Big Guy! ;)

Christmas means family coming together and remembering what's really important life in life. Celtic games don't seem as fun when something happened within the family, such as a death or serious illness. Look at Ray Allen and how he felt when he heard about his son. How about Derek Fisher, when he heard about his daughter? And I hope that fan who taunted Fisher's daughter got a Grade A beat down after the game.

I heard about that guy on Christmas Eve who was killed in front of his three children. I wouldn't want to remember something like that during Christmas, that's for sure. :( That's not what Christmas should ever be about.

Christmas should be about giving before receiving (as opposed to instead, hor hor), and showing everyone how important they are to you.

I'm reviving this thread from last year, just to say how thankful I am for the Celtics, my friends here at CB, my family and friends elsewhere, and all the blessings received and lessons learned since last year.

May we all be happy about the prospects of Banner 19 at this time next year ... I pray everyone here is having a wonderful Christmas and joyous New Year!

All the best!

I really have some personal issues with Christmas.

I feel like my religion gets attacked, ridiculed, and marginalized all year long, both in the media, in our art, and by individuals

Then everybody goes and gets a Christmas tree and talks about how important Christmas is to them.

I just find it very hypocritical and demeaning.

I guess that's why I like Thanksgiving more.

But I don't own the holiday so if something good comes out of it, then that's great.

I was going to say almost the exact same thing this year, but I said it last year.

I admit Christmas is evolving for me. I have gotten a lot. I admire Toys for Tots and the Red Stocking Fund. I hear they did pretty well in Boston this year, which makes me as happy as anything

Merry Christmas to everyone on Celticsblog.

I can't wait to catch the Magic-Celtics game @ 2:30. Amongst non-Celtics or Magic fans the Heat-Lakers game would probably be the more interesting game to watch. In either case I'm picking the Celtics this afternoon, and then probably the Lakers this evening, though LeBron James' Cavs man-handled the Lake-Show last year's Christmas.

Fortunately for the rest of the league LeBron and Kobe won't be 'dunking on some reindeer' this holiday season...  ::)
