Understandable that JO is disappointed. He signed for the full midlevel on a championship contender and hasnt made much of a contribution yet. I think he was of the impression that he would step into Perks job and be a factor here in a deep playoff run. So far he has been outplayed by the ancient one (Shaq), a Rookie from Turkey who is not quite fluent yet in English and Big Baby Davis.
Whether you make the case that he has been injured or that he hasnt had time to learn the system, the fact remains he hasnt produced. This is a guy who was tagged several years ago in Indiana as an overpaid underachiever. He carried that tag as trade fodder to clear cap space through two more teams in short order.
I hope JO gets healthy and on the floor soon. If not he will again be carrying that 'bust' label he is trying to shed. As a veteran he should be picking up our system a little quicker IMO and that he hasnt is not acceptable. He should be ahead of Erden at least just due to his years of NBA experience.
If he is so brittle and injury prone he cant make it on the floor even once in a while and be effective, he is of no use to us. That would be a shame with the talent on this year's team.
