Probably the Patriots or Red Sox. The Pats got off to a strong start this season and the road through the playoffs is a lot easier than in other sports. If the Red Sox can fix their pen, they'll be right back in title contention next year -- they still have the most potent offense in baseball and the best 5 man rotation too. So probably one of those two.

Patriots looking very impressive; but C's will even better than last year. Hoping Brady is out for revenge after a couple of disappointing seasons. If he stays healthy they have a great chance as well. When Perk comes back the C's will have entered new territory - the Celtics will be the Beast of the East.

I don’t know about the most potent offense, but it’s easily the best starting 5.

The Sox have to sign somebody that can carry the heart of the lineup, and he’s gonna cost money. In 20 years I think people are going to look back at 2 years ago (when we told Texeira we wouldn’t go any higher) and consider it one of the bigger mistakes we’ve had. Obviously The Red Sox have two rings in the past 7 years... but when the Yankees got Marky Mark they basically bought at least one championship, but probably more.

Plus the team is super boring, they have no personality.

AHHHH I’m not going to go off about the Red Sox... But I do think The Bruins have a pretty good group coming in.

I am going with the Celtics! In my opinion, the Red Sox presently have very poor leadership as I think John Henry and his stingy self is bring the team down the tubes.

On the other hand, Danny & Wyc spent the money and put an awesome team together for the upcoming season. They even spent over the luxury tax but you have to spend money to make money.

Kudos to Danny and the Celtics!

I say the Patriots, only because the parity in the NFL is crazy enough that any team that makes the playoffs can get hot at the right time and win even if it isn't the best team in the league (hellooo 2007 New York Giants).

I'm reserving judgment on the Celtics till I see how the regular season goes and if they're mostly healthy for the playoffs.

The Red Sox are done...in decline.  They'll stay decent because of all the money they can spend but I don't see them being great anytime soon.

The Bruins...who cares?
