Leon Powe is on a minimum contract for Cleveland still correct?

Why would they trade him at this point when they absolutely can and should take a chance on a cheap project?

Tayshaun Prince is a player the Pistons are only going to move to acquire talent, they're still trying to win now with the current core of their roster. (which is foolish)

Powe will be the first big off the bench in CLE, I suspect.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
We don't have the contracts necessary to acquire Prince, and we have very few trade chips outside of the starters.

Why? Did they trade away one of their other three bigs?

They lost Z to Free agency.  Sideshow Bob will start at C.   Jamison will be the SF.  Hickson will start at PF.  Powe should be the first big off the bench.

I hope Powe can stay healthy this season, because I expect him to have a big year, and get the big payday he missed out on a couple years ago.

Jamison as a SF is a mistake.

I understand the idea of starting Jamison at the SF because he could stretch the floor, but that will be a joke on defense.  He is covering Pierce?  Iso all day.

Not like that will cost them a title or something, the team will be bad but just saying I don't think that's a very good idea.

It has it's own matchup problems as well, but I think a:

PG - Sessions
SG - Mo Williams
SF - Parker
PF - Hickson or Jamison
C - Varejao

lineup would be better.  Mo is undersized for SG but that is what he really is, he's not a PG and this team will need a PG to create some plays since LeBron is gone now.

They are going to need all the star power they can get hence I am willing to bet that Hicks and Jamison start.  Jamison is only like really 6-7 so he is too slow for a SF and too short for a PF.  I know he is listed at 6-9 but he is a short 6-9.

Parker shouldn't start at SF either, they need to be finding out what Moon, Green or Graham has. Parker is not the future for them at that spot, at least those other guys have youth and man, Moon has hops for days.
