Ariza please.

They are on the block in a deal to bring in a superstar.  They aren't on the block for what the C's are offering.

Now, the C's could potentially slip into a deal as a third team, but its unlikely.

But just to play along, I would go with Battier.  I am not a big fan of Ariza's attitude, and his game doesn't blow me away either.  But Battier would be perfect on the C's, and he comes off the books next year, if things don't work out.

Yep.   I could see a team like Toronto only wanting one of Ariza or Battier.  One of them could be shipped to Boston for Wallace in a three way trade.
I'd go with Ariza. Battier is probably a better one year guy. But I think Ariza is close to Battier and has some potential to take a leap to the next level still. The C's need a bit more athleticism and size in their wings next year Ariza gives both. I'd prefer a dead eye shooter, but then he'd be a max guy. He's shown enough with his shot that you figure it could develop.

depending on how the remainder of our roster shakes out, I would prefer Battier. He can fill minutes at 3 and 4. He can spread the floor and can defend 2-3 positions. He is a high character guy and would fit perfectly with our locker room. He is a professional. He would be better for the window remaining for our core of KG, PP, and Ray.

I do think Perk should be considered expendable. He will miss at least half the season. I think early January is a very optimistic time frame if he has the triangle injury of all 3 ligaments.

Perk does not fit the future. He fits the now, but his now is only half a season before he becomes an URFA. We should look at including Perk in any deal to get a guy that can play the
entire season.

I would send Perk to Houston with  Sheed's contract for a combo of Scola and Battier/Ariza.

If we re-sign TA, I'd be fine with Battier. Less of a commitment, and he would play the Posey role. Posey was really inept on offense for us from inside the 3 pt line, but did a great job on open 3's.

Then again, excessive roster turnover year to year is scary. Look at how poorly Daniels meshed.
